The primary goal of the militia is to form the nucleus of a strong civilian defense organization. Furthermore, it is to maintain a constant state of readiness in the event that it should be called up to perform its Constitutional functions. All citizens who intend to form militia units, and those already established, are encouraged to use this organizational structure to ensure a degree of standardization, coordination, and parity between units and unit operations. A militia unit can not and will not become a viable military organization, or have any potential for effective civil defense and response, until the talk stops and purposeful organization begins.

Officers must effectively organize group efforts and provide for training, unit organization, response strategies, intelligence, security and communications. Logistics Officers must ensure the acquisition of resources consistent with the tactical role assumed by the unit. Every member must acquire and develop proficiency in the use of firearms, field and specialized equipment. Each member must be committed to the purpose and goals of the unit. In any organization, there needs to be a clear chain of command to insure effective coordination of the smaller units. At the same time, small units must be capable of responding to an immediate incident.

Units in the 27th FF are organized as battalions divided by county. Each county is it’s own battalion. Each unit has its own Command Staff which organizes the unit structure and training plan to best fit that unit’s needs. Units are divided into two paths. Field Teams and Support Teams. If you have physical limitations or do not wish to be in a field team, there is plenty of room for you in the Support Sector. If you are in a county that does not have a battalion, you can train with the battalion nearest you or State can assist you in organizing a battalion in your county.

Civilization comes at a cost of manliness. It comes at a cost of wildness, of risk, of strife. It comes at a cost of strength, of courage, of mastery. It comes at a cost of honor. Increased civilization exacts a toll of virility, forcing manliness into further redoubts of vicariousness and abstraction.
